Hello! I've missed writing and sharing in this space these past few weeks of summer's-end-madness....garden harvest overflowing, the ever boiling canning pot that just can't seem to keep up, little boys changing routines, family weddings and the first sniffles of the year. Happy to be back.
What could be more fun than a couple of pink and brown crowns, to share today? Alright, perhaps it would be more fun to share the pattern for said crowns so you all can get busy crafting, but that will have to wait.......coming soon!
I hate to admit it, but I have yet to actually meet these two sweet girls in person, though they are close to my heart already. Lucky thing for Facebook, blogs and the like to make us all feel close to the happenings of daily life and the big milestones like coming home from the hospital at long-last, first steps and big baby-girl-giggles.
In making these crowns, I worked on this pattern a bit more, to smooth out some of the kinks in the elastic sleeve portion of the back. My hope is that these will fit them now, as well as many years to come, just in case their mama should decide to set them out on their second birthday (since they did not arrive, as planned, for their first, despite being stitches away from finished.....life, it really has a mind of its own sometimes, ehem)
The next crown will be accompanied by a pattern for you, I promise!
What crafting is making you smile today?
