This action packed book (The Complete Adventures of Curious George by Margaret and H.A. Rey) is probably the most time-tested and well-loved book in the house (who would have known).Only 7 years old, this book, and already covered in the sweetest grubby finger prints, worn binding and the like, every page has been loved countless times.
Secretly I have wondered when someone would get a notion to make a fleet of their own, just like George. And then it happened, and I think perhaps it is still happening, a new boat here and a new boat there....I'm finding them in all sorts of places, some have been soaked in casserole dishes filled with water, others chewed on by the dog, some colored, some not, and more to come.
And then there are the boats made special for mama, the ones with heart sails, hear me sigh and see me smile!
For the love of ship captains, sailors and salty-dogs in the making, or just curious minds and clever little hands.
