Our holiday gifting has stretched out this far into the new year. Rather than admitting my belatedness I have simply coined these gifts 'gratitude gifts'. Gratitude is really the essence of the gifting gesture anyway, isn't it? A way to express the gratitude for all the stars in our lives. Every time I see these cards that we created I also feel grateful for the memories of wonderful moments from the past year held in each image.
And, yes, one last scarf off the loom. This one is a special thank you to my Mom who generously took time off work, to be with the boys, while I took my first days away from my family. I happily spent some days at The Rudold Steiner College attending 'A New Inspiration for Education' conference where I spent hours in the Biodynamic farm at the Sacramento Waldorf School in addition many fantastic lectures focused on the practical arts in education. It was a lovely experience to be among so many like minded folks, to re-energise my creative spirits, and to know that everyone was well cared for at home.
