Oh my! The goodness that arrived today, I simply can not help but gush just a bit. My sweet cousin loves me like no other, she listens, oh, does she listen. She giggles. She makes me giggle. She advises (with caution). She encourages. Really she is my sister. She thinks about us all year long, collecting little bits of goodness until there is a big box of all sorts of wonderful gifts, notes and memories. So, as you can imagine it is very exciting to open a box from Tante Lindsey.
This sweet woman certainly helps me stay "sunny side up" or get back there when I'm not. With that I think I'll share a bit of the goodness we opened up today.
She gave up yarn for me.
The encouragement I spoke of, bound up here in the Writer's Market (wink, and thank you!)
Pressed autumn leaves, which I adore, bundled in the press itself. Chaz just can not wait to get on with the pressing. We nearly ditched dinner to pick and press.
A small piece of baleen with a big, special, adventure-packed family story. Read below.
Can you hear these little banjos now?
I had to share this fantastic glow in the dark moon calendar. We already have, and love, a version of this calendar which hangs in the kitchen next to our biodynamic planting calendar and the regular calendar, but until now we did not have the glow in the dark version. So, the boys being quite familiar with how it works, and having an affinity for tracking the moon's phases, are super excited to have the glow in the dark calendar for their room.
Thank you Tante. Thank you all for letting me gush with excitement.
